PLANUNG EINER ERWEITERUNGSZONE IN SASSUOLO 1994-1997

Dieser neue Stadtteil sollte ausserhalb der gewachsenen, historischen Ortschaft entstehen. Ein Anknüpfen wäre, wegen der Distanz, unnatürlich gewesen. Aus diesem Grunde versuchten wir einen Stadtteil aus geplanten Plätzen zu erfinden. Die Gebäude sind die „Platzwände“ und definieren den städtischen Raum.

PLANNING OF AN EXPANSION ZONE IN SASSUOLO 1994-1997

This new part of the city was to be built outside the established, historic village. Because of the distance, it would have been unnatural to connect it. For this reason we tried to invent a district of planned squares. The buildings are the "square walls" and define the urban space.

Questa nuova parte della città doveva essere costruita al di fuori del tessuto storico . Sarebbe stato non naturale per la distanza aggiungere questa zona come un proseguimento. Per questo abbiamo cercato di inventare un quartiere di piazze progettate. Gli edifici sono le "pareti delle piazze" e definiscono lo spazio urbano.
