WETTBEWERB FÜR DIE PIAZZA VITTORIA IN BOZEN 2020

Als die Stadt in den Dreissigerjahren erweitert wurde, plante man als neues Stadtzentrum einen Siegesplatz östlich vor dem Siegesdenkmal. Das Stadtzentrum sollte sich dann gegen Westen, bis nach Gries, symmetrisch zur Altstadt im Osten, mit einer Strasse mit Laubengängen erweitern. Eines der Städtebau- Probleme von Bozen heute ist, dass sich die „Zentrumsfunktionen“ noch nie über die Talfer ausgedehnt haben. Eine Ursache, dass das Bozner Stadtzentrum am Westende der Museumstrasse aufhört, ist die zu grosse Distanz bis zu den Griesser Lauben. Diese Strecke von über 500 Metern ist ohne städtische Attraktionen.Es wäre sehr wichtig diese Strecke als Fussgängerzone auszubilden und mit neuen interessanten Attraktionspunkten zu bereichern.Der Automobilverkehr könnte über die Cesare Battisti- Strasse mit einem Tunnel unter der Talfer in die Rosmini-Srasse geleitet werden.Der Siegesplatz könnte zum neuen Salon, zum öffentlichen Saal der Stadt werden. Die Überdachung macht ihn nutzbar bei praller Sonne, und bei Regen oder Schnee, er wird zu einem öffentlichen „Innenraum“ der Stadt. Ein gutes Fisch-Restaurant und die beste Aperitiv-Bar sollte man dort einrichten, sie könnten dem Platz das tägliche Leben geben und abends könnte ein „Videowall“ mit der Projektion von Filmen, Konzerten und Sportereignissen Salonleben des Platzes charakterisieren.

CONCORSO PER LA PIAZZA VITTORIA A BOLZANO 2020

Quando la città fu ampliata negli anni '30, il nuovo centro della città fu progettato con una „piazza della vittoria“ ad est del Monumento alla Vittoria. Il centro della città doveva poi essere esteso verso ovest, fino a Gries, simmetricamente alla città vecchia ad est, con una strada con portici.Uno dei problemi urbanistici di Bolzano oggi è che le "funzioni del centro" non si sono mai estese oltre il Talvera.Uno dei motivi per cui il centro di Bolzano si ferma all'estremità occidentale della via Museo è l'eccessiva distanza dai portici di Gries. Questa distanza di oltre 500 metri è priva di attrazioni urbane.Sarebbe molto importante sviluppare questo tratto di strada come zona pedonale e arricchirlo di nuovi interessanti punti di attrazione.Il traffico automobilistico potrebbe essere diretto da via Cesare Battisti in via Rosmini, con un tunnel sotto il Talvera.La Piazza della Vittoria potrebbe diventare il nuovo salone, la sala pubblica della città. Il tetto lo rende utilizzabile in caso di sole torrido, e in caso di pioggia o neve, diventa un "interno" pubblico della città. Un buon ristorante di pesce e il miglior bar per aperitivi dovrebbero essere allestiti lì, potrebbero dare alla piazza la sua vita quotidiana e la sera un "videowall" con la proiezione di film, concerti ed eventi sportivi potrebbe caratterizzare la vita da salone della piazza.

COMPETITION FOR THE PIAZZA VITTORIA IN BOZEN 2020

When the city was expanded in the 1930s, the square was planned as the new city centre to the east in front of the Victory Monument. The city centre was then to extend towards the west, as far as Gries, symmetrically to the old town in the east, with a street with arcades.

One of the urban planning problems of Bolzano today is that the "centre functions" have never extended beyond the river Talfer.

One reason that the centre of Bolzano stops at the western end of Museumstrasse is that the distance to the Griesser Lauben is too great. This distance of over 500 metres is without urban attractions.

It would be very important to develop this stretch as a pedestrian zone and to enrich it with new interesting attraction points.

Automobile traffic could be routed via Cesare Battisti Street with a tunnel under the Talfer into Rosmini Street.

Piazza Vittoria could become the new salon, the public hall of the city. The roofing makes it usable in blazing sun, and in rain or snow, it becomes a public "interior" of the city. A good fish restaurant and the best aperitif bar should be set up there, they could give the square daily life and in the evening a "video wall" with the projection of films, concerts and sporting events could characterise the salon life of the square.
