WETTBEWERB REGIERUNGSVIERTEL SPREE BOGEN BERLIN 1992

Dieser Ort war seitdem Krieg und wegen der Mauer unverbaut und sollte auch wegen der besonderen Funktion nicht ein normaler Stadtteil werden. Deshalb wurde die Geometrie dieses Ortes mit Hochhaus – Säulen unterstrichen. Die Säulen stehen auf radial ausgerichteten, abgetreppten Sockelbauten. Der Raum zwischen dem Reichstaggebäude, dem neuen Bundeskanzleramtes und den Säulen sollte kein Platz aber eine Wiese werden. In den Zonen, die in die normale Stadt übergingen, planten wir Stadteile aus einem Stück, wo nur die Strassen und Plätze ausgespart waren.

This place had been unbuilt since the war and because of the wall. Because of its special function, it should not become a normal part of the city. Therefore, the geometry of this place was underlined with high-rise columns. The columns stand on radially aligned, stepped plinth buildings. The space between the Reichstag building, the new Federal Chancellery and the columns was to become not a square but a meadow. In the zones that merged into the normal city, we planned city parts in one piece, where only the streets and squares were left out.

Questo luogo non è stato ricostruito dopo la guerra anche a causa del muro e non dovrebbe diventare una parte normale della città per la sua funzione speciale. Perciò la geometria di questo luogo è stata sottolineata con colonne-grattacieli. Le colonne poggiano su edifici di base a gradini allineati radialmente. Lo spazio tra l'edificio del Reichstag, la nuova Cancelleria Federale e le colonne non dovrebbe diventare una piazza ma un prato. Nelle zone che si collegano alla città normale, abbiamo progettato parti di città in un unico pezzo, dove solo le strade e le piazze sono state lasciate fuori.
