Diese Schule aus den Fünfzigerjahren bestand aus zwei symmetrischen Baukörpern mit Klassenräumen, längs der Strasse und hatte in der Mitte eine kleine Turnhalle. Mit diesem Umbau wurde die Schule mit einer neuen senkrechten Fußgängerverbindung mit dem Zentrum von Obermais verbunden und längs dieser Achse ausgebaut. Die neue dreifache Turnhalle wurde hier in das Gelände gebaut. Der südliche Klassenbaukörper musste vergrößert werden und erhielt eine zusätzliche abgedrehte Klassenreihe zur Hofseite hin. Der dadurch entstandene dreieckige Innenraum wurde zum Aufgang und zur Aula Magna und wird von einer zylindrischen Bibliothek abgeschlossen.

AMPLIAMENTO DELLA SCUOLA VON GILM

Questa scuola degli anni cinquanta consisteva in due edifici simmetrici con aule, lungo la strada e aveva una piccola palestra nel mezzo. Con questa ricostruzione la scuola è stata collegata al centro di Obermais con un nuovo collegamento pedonale verticale ed estesa lungo questo asse. La nuova palestra tripla è stata costruita qui nel terreno. L'edificio di classe meridionale dovette essere ampliato e ricevette un'ulteriore fila angolare di classi verso il lato del cortile. L'interno triangolare risultante divenne la scala e l'Aula Magna ed è chiuso da una biblioteca cilindrica.

EXTENSION OF THE VON GILM SCHOOL

This school from the fifties consisted of two symmetrical structures with classrooms, along the road and had a small gymnasium in the middle. With this reconstruction, the school was connected to the centre of Obermais with a new perpendicular pedestrian connection and extended along this axis. The new triple gymnasium was built into the terrain here. The southern class building had to be enlarged and received an additional angled row of classes towards the courtyard side. The resulting triangular interior became the staircase and the Aula Magna and is closed off by a cylindrical library.
